Symptoms of head lice may come in many ways.
Head lice may be the most annoying part of your life that you really wish to be gone but do not know why. Along with that, you’re not really sure if is the head lice that are menacing your life or simply the dandruff or the incompatibility of shampoos. That’s why these symptoms of head lice will truly help you understand if you have head lice or not in order for you to know the products and solutions to apply.
Constant Movement in the Hair
A major symptom that you’ll experience is that there is movement in your hair whenever you have head lice. It’s annoying because this feeling won’t go away and even if you scratch it, rarely will you able to stop it. It may even come to a point where you are really used to it that you don’t get bothered anymore with the movement, however, not getting bothered anymore doesn’t mean that you should stop looking for a remedy.
Excessive Itching
When your hair itches too much, you know something is wrong. These itches are usually caused not by movement but by the bites these lice make on your scalp which will somewhat send you an itchy feeling. This is another symptoms that you may have a head lice. Sometimes it is due to the allergic reaction of your head to the bites which will make the itch not go away despite the head lice not biting anymore.
However, take note also that irritation may not start immediately upon residence of the head lice on your head. There are instances that it would take a week or two before the itches start since they are still very young thus, does not cause itchiness yet.
Sore Scalp or Sore Head
Excessive scratching can really lead to slight sores on your scalp or head especially if scratching your head is your only solution for the itchiness. You can’t really blame yourself, considering the fact that if you have head lice, it is truly itchy and irritating and it’s almost impossible to stop yourself from not doing anything with it. If you have sharp nails or really dig in hard whenever you scratch, you have more than just sore scalp but also have little marks of cuts.
Irritability
In some instances, these symptoms of head lice may become so dominant in one’s life that it would affect the way he thinks and the way he reacts. For instance, a person who has many head lice could become so annoyed with it that he also became irritable throughout the day. This is unavoidable considering head lice are truly irritable.
Nits at the Shaft of Hair
Whenever you would pick out a hair or look at the scalp, you would notice white little things that seem to indicate that it is winter time in your hair’s world. This actually indicates that the head lice are nesting on your hair and are laying eggs on your hair. If you are asking if all those that you see are eggs then yes, there are a lot of eggs.
